Thailand Immigration on Koh Lipe (updated May 2015)
The Thailand immigration office is located at the eastern part of Pattaya Beach, next to Bundhaya Resort, and is open when the ferries to Langkawi are running (Boats start on Oct. 20).

Travelers arriving from Langkawi will be guided trough the immigration process by the ferry company. If you are traveling to Langkawi you will have to go through Immigration 1 hour before taking the boat.
Most countries can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 15 days. (30 days if you come via a Thai international airport)
- You cannot get a visa for Thailand on Koh Lipe. You should visit Penang if you want a longer visa than 15 days. Contact AmSinar Enterprises in Penang for Visa information, accommodation and further travel within Malaysia.
- Valid travel documents or passports with an expiry of not less than 6 months is required to enter Thailand. For extended stays of more than 15 days in Koh Lipe, ensure you obtain a valid visa from the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate closest to you before your travel to Thailand.
- If you are already in Thailand, visit the nearest Royal Thai Immigration District Office, for extension of stay.
- The check-in counter at Telaga Harbor opens 1.5 hours before departure time. Passengers are required to present their Booking Confirmation Voucher and passports for immigration clearance. The counter closes 30 minutes before departure time.
Overstay: You cannot leave Koh Lipe to Langkawi If you have overstay on your visa (if you have stayed longer then your exit stamp on your passport). You will have to go to the immigration office in Satun, or to a border check point on the mainland, currently the rate is 500 baht per day overstay, with a maximum fine of 20,000 baht.
60 Day Tourist Visa: The easiest way to stay in Thailand longer than 30 days is to get a Tourist Visa (60 days per entry - you can buy multiple entries and extend every entry with 30 days without leaving) from the Thai Embassy or Consulate in your home country or Penang or the immigration office in Kuala Lumpur.
